Description
Vintage Keraluc Quimper tobacco jar with 5 integrated pipe holders
Made in French faïence and characteristic of the artistic pottery produced in Quimper during the mid-20th century.
The piece features a slightly rounded cylindrical body with a fitted lid and five integrated pipe rests arranged around the container, designed to hold smoking pipes. The front is decorated with the word “TABAC”, while the surface features hand-applied floral and botanical motifs in shades of green, yellow, ochre and brown, combined with geometric bands.
This type of container belongs to the tradition of smoking accessories produced by the ceramic manufacturers of Quimper. Its design combines a practical function —storing tobacco and providing five dedicated spaces for resting pipes— with the decorative qualities associated with Keraluc artistic pottery.
